This vegan food wrap is made from 100% cotton fabric, candelilla wax, natural tree resin and jojoba oil.

Each food wrap starts with the fabric being washed and cut before being coated in a candelilla wax, natural tree resin, and jojoba oil mixture, hung to air dry then folded and packaged. 

The combination of this mixture gives the fabric a sturdy but pliable feel, and as jojoba oil is a natural antibacterial agent, it helps to keep your food fresher for longer. 

To use, simply place your wrap over a bowl or plate and the warmth of your hands activates the wax and softens your wrap to create a seal. You can use the same principle for wrapping cheese, bread, sandwiches, snacks, fruit and vegetables. Simply place the wrap around the item and hold it in place with your hands. 

Look after your wrap by handwashing in warm soapy water (not too hot or you will melt off the wax) or wipe clean with a damp cloth and let air dry. Once dry, fold your wrap and store it in a basket or drawer. Your wraps can be reused over and over again. With proper care, your wraps should last up to a year. Once they’re no longer sticky, you can simply put them in the compost or re-wax them with our refresh bars (coming soon).
